...fatigue, muscle pain) and I don't know why...27 year old woman? I have recently been diagnosed with having migraines and Irritable bowel syndrome. The medication for the IBS has made me feel a lot better, but, my headaches are driving me crazy! I would say I usually have a headache every day for at least some time. They have recently gotten so bad that I almost considered going to the Emergency room I was so ill. The meds she gave me for migraines make me feel worse and the other med that she gave me a sample of works but is not covered on my insurance. I am also feeling very sore all over. My muscles often "hurt" for no reason, especially, the left side of my neck where it meets my shoulder is constently stiff and painful. I sometimes also feel like I have bruises but have not done anything to bruise myself. Lately I also feel like I'm fighting a losing battle with fatigue as well. I'm wondering if all of these symptoms may actually be connected. I have looked into fibromyalgia but some of the symptoms don't fit. Any suggestions?I get plenty of sleep. Mainly because if I don't I feel even worse. I've tried all the over the counter migraine pills and they take a little of the edge off, but, make my stomach so upset that they are not worth it. I'm not sure about clenching teeth or not. I've never even thought of that! I am definitely going to look into this option. In general I feel like I'm a pretty healthy person, healthy weight, exercise a few times weekly, fresh fruits/veggies, only a few drinks per week, etc.

For the migraine try using some over counter drugs like Excedrin migraine or Tylenol migraine.

This is going to sound dumb... but are you getting enough sleep? Headaches, muscle & joint pain & fatigue can all be symptoms of consistant lack of sleep. Most adults reqiure 7-8 hours of quality/uninterrupted sleep each night. however surveys show that modern life(tv -computers - email - texting - blackberry - general connectedness) leads to adults regularly getting only 5-6 hours sleep.

Food allergies with irritate your bowels ..produce mucus and fatigue...also sugar and high fructose corn syrup. This week don't drink ...keep a food log try to avoid sugary foods for a bit,,,,use some honey. Then add back in foods you like and see which bother you. But know that high fructose corn syrup causes your liver to work overtime while it damages trying to process it. In lab rats H.F.C.S caused Cirrhosis of the liver which is scarring and causes a host of health problems... hope this helps .....also swansonsvitamins.com sells chlorella and spirulina.. the kyoto chlorella 10 tabs at each meal along with the organic spirulina 2 tabs will give you more energy and clean some of the heavy metals out of your blood...You will wake up with more energy and at least it will help while you find out what is ailing you.

It never hurts to be too careful - go to your doctor. Even print your question out and take it to them so they have an honest and thorough list of your complaints. You may find there's nothing to worry about or it's something they can easily help you with. It certainly wouldn't hurt to have some blood tests to look into your bruising and pain just to be sure, as there are a few disease processes that can cause these symptoms that would need urgent attention. Good luck!

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Heavy metal toxicity. If you have lots of fillings, you may have high Mercury or Tin in your system. This can come from other external situations as well, but dental fillings are one of the most common situations. I didn't get it all chelated out, due to knowing that the toxins will still be in my environment, and not wanting serious upset should I run into a bit of seafood (since I love seafood). Heavy Metal Toxicity is not something normal doctors will listen to. They will consider you as being nuts for considering this. You can find functional medicine doctors in some areas where you can get blood tests run to check for heavy metals.Heavy metals cause pain wherever they are collecting, and Mercury likes to collect in the brain.I take lots of Chlorella from Apothecure (after being prescribed it by an associated functional medicine physician), and Kyolic Garlic (Reserve type from Life Extension Foundation). Fibromyalgia --from my personal theories-- is a combination of allergies, infections, dehydration, and heavy metal toxicity. It is important to have appropriate supervision when attempting to detox from heavy metals, or you could seriously harm yourself. Your cells hide away the toxins, and bringing it all out at once can shock your system too much. A pharmacist also encouraged me that my high cholesterol level was my body's way of protecting my cells from the high toxin level I was dealing with. There is also a "weird" --non-physical-- situation associated with pain from nowhere and debilitating fatigue. When you are trying to meet with a friend, etc, try getting ready early and planning for a nap just before meeting the person. Or before going to bed, intend to meet with them during your dream-state. Whether you remember it or not, this seems helpful. For some reason large groups of people I love, or people who were ill caused me the most trouble. I would need to "meet" them early in a more astral way, in order to actually get to see them in person. It was as if my intent to meet with them at let's say, 1pm, would have me falling asleep or in too much pain to actually leave the house at about 12:30. Also the feeling of bruising -- switch to a foam type mattress. Tempurpedic is the best, but at least a simple foam mattress, one without springs at all, and without hard quilting that cuts off circulation to your arms. I used a cheap air mattress for a while before I could afford a better bed. Air mattresses are not your best option, as the parts of your body which are lighter will have circulation problems. I currently use a fairly cheap foam mattress with a tempurpedic-style mattress pad on top of it, with a tempurpedic pillow.I know what you are experiencing is real. This symptom set is becoming more prevalent, and yet the medical community still seems clueless. You are not alone in this.
