Natural cures for ear infections?

My six year old daughter suffers from regular ear infections and the normal medication she is persricbed when we take her to the doctor just seems to make her ill. Does anyone know of some natural ways to relieve an ear infection?

There are natural ways to boost immune systems and help prevent ear infections, but please please please take her back to the doctor if the antibiotics are making her ill. They can try another method of treatment.

Not treating it completely and properly can cause her to loose her hearing among other health risks. Please don't put her at that risk!
