I know this is a scary time, just have been through it myself (last month). Your doctor should have scheduled you for another biopsy, usually called a loop biopsy. Just because you have cancer cells does not mean you have cancer. The loop biopsy removes the cancerous cells and the doctors can then tell if it is indeed cancer. The way it was explained to me was;Picture a horseshoe (hs), at the ends of the horseshoe is where the cancer cells are. Just above the ends of the hs, is a picket fence, they have to see behind this fence to see if there is cancer there. This is where the loop biopsy comes in, it removes the cancer cells at the end of the hs and pulls cells from the other side of the fence. I know it is really much more complicated than this but this is the layman version. If you haven't been schedule for the loop biopsy then I would ask the doctor about it. Hang in there, my prayers are with you.
