sometimes, i just randomly feel sad, and to make it worst, sad thoughts come into my head and i make it worst by thinking about it and building it up in my mind. Is it normal to think about suicide? Sometimes i think about it, about what happens and methods. I have a friend who tried to, but did not succeed in it. I will never commit sucide because I believe that my soul will go to hell. Is there such as a thing as having brief periods of depression, or is it just a mental (emotional) breakdown?

Some symptoms are: Sadness, feelings of Worthlessness, thoughts of Suicide, feelings of paranoia (sometimes), over eating, or eating out of depression. Spending unesscessary amounts of money. Not doing activities you use to doing or they dont seem fun anymore. Wanting to be left alone for long periods of time, and wanting to be in the dark more than nesscessary. Its not easy to talk to a therapist, because it seems like you are talking to a stranger. However, you should talk to one to at least get a diagnoses. So they can tell you what kind of depression you have. Because their are many diffrent kinds. Also, their are may diffrent kinds of mental disorders. If you dont have a problem with talking to a therapist, than you should go for it, and talk your problems out. Also, they will ask you to talk to the psychiatrist, who will precribed medicine. This will help with the depression. They will try diffrent medicines to see which one works for you. They will let you pick a guy or a female therapist and psychiatrist to talk to.

IF you are thinking like that frequently over a period of about 2 weeks or longer - see a doctor or counselor. The length of time is a rule of thumb - not a hard & fast "well you have only felt this way for ten days" rule. There are a wide array of forms that clinical depression can take. Some are relatively "minor" compared to others, but they are just as real.Thoughts of suicide that are more curiousity than wanting to decide how to end it still do concern me. I am sorry about your friend's problems, I hope help is being used - on both of your behalf!Treatment can help manage it and help you understand why things feel the way they
We get what we think about. You know how you can sit down in a certain way, and feel depressed. Instead of looking for symptoms of depression, why not look for symptoms of happiness? What makes people happy? what makes YOU happy? And go looking for those things, and do them and feel good. Its better to look for what you want, than what you dont want. and its the right thing to do. Move towards good things
