sit in a QUIET place and make yourself super comfy, but u must be sitting upright. close your eyes. picture yourself being weighted down, like heavy damp sand being poured on you. u are rooted to ur spot. slowly work this feeling up through ur body until ur body has a "buzzing" feeling. let ur mind go off on its ownVERY IMPORTANT: when comming out of a meditative state, do NOT just open your eyes. slowly drift back up to a concious state, and "wake urself up". then open ur eyes

First of all you need to find a quite place you feel comfortable, then sit on on the floor or cushion if needed with your legs crossed and back straight, then closed your eyes and think of nothing and focus on a distant sound eg a clock ticking and breath deeply in and out without thinking about it to much, try doing this for 5 minutes at a time when you start out until you get used to it and then after a while you will be able to enter a meditated state within minutes without even trying.this should help with your anxiety and maybe your depression but Im not to sure.Hope this helps mate.

My defintion of meditations is ("Still the mind") so that the "message" will come thru..I have the message.I will help you....just believe, and know, I am on you r side..okay, quick stuff...stop watching the news and listening to the bullshit that you hear everyday..GO WITHIN...PLEASE get this. This is the formula that works. Every soluton is an inside job....Mostly important of all.... love uncoditionally and be kind

Find a quiet place or walk early in the morning. Try to see things from the different perspective.Try to laugh, it helps you.
Well a new life is all in your brain.

I do not know the exact relation between meditation and law of attraction, yes; of course, when you meditate the brain produces alpha and beta waves. These waves are also produced when you sleep or are hypnotized. The waves produced during meditation are of a special type which gives rest to the brain and relaxation to the mind. Any way let’s learn meditation. The most essential requirements for meditation are:

-A calm atmosphere, to the extent possible.
- An object to concentrate on
- A mind that is empty of thought
- A comfortable posture

Close the eyes and sit relaxed. The vertebral column should be straight and you should sit erect. Sit for a few minutes and hundreds of thoughts will crowd your mind. The harder you try to control your thoughts the more will be crowded the mind with them. Relax. Review your activities of the day.

Now concentrate on your breathing. You have been breathing all along. But you never observed or paid attention to your breathing rhythm. Slowly inhale and then exhale slowly. Take a long, deep breath, slowly without a jerk and breathe out in a similar manner.

You must have noticed that when you are angry, your rate of breathing increases. To control anger and the mind and for relaxation, slow breathing is essential. Observe the movement of your stomach. Become aware of the movement of your stomach and breath.

Breathe like this for about 10 minutes. Thoughts may still be cropping up but go on breathing. Suddenly you will find that your mind has become thoughtless for a second. It may not happen on the first day for all. Regular and continuous practice is required for this to happen regularly.

As a beginner you can meditate for about 10-20 minutes. Go on…..

Nice tips aliva. Thanks You.
Well, while doing any kind of medition, three things can be considered as pre-requisites.
1) Silent Surrounding
2) Your Mind power to control anxity or other such things
3) Cool Music (not jazz, pop etc) , but some musics are specialy created which will help you to concentrate your mind.

Let me know if you need more help.

I've had great success with meditation but i do it several different ways. I can sit in nature, usually by a tree in my back yard and lean on it. I open my mind to all of nature & try to hear the trees and grass. Rocks are pretty good for this too. Needs to be a BIG rock to work right tho. Emptying your mind aint hard if you consentrate on the sounds you hear. I can even tune out the trains that come thru my backyard while meditating. I live 100 yards from the tracks. I also meditate listening to music. It has to be something that you enjoy tho. I listen to hard or classic rock. Things I know the words to. It helps to know the words as you can consentrate better on the words when you know them than when you're just learning them. 50's rock is pretty good too, ez words to know. Country kind of sucks for me tho because the songs are mostly sad or about things that cause a lot of emotion. Emotion is not your friend in meditation. You want peace but if you keep feeling everything instead of just experiencing it, like nature, then you can't clean your mind as well. Don't forget to watch for your silver cord if you end up traveling too. It's your lifeline to getting bac. Enjoy your experience with meditation. Shane
