abortion is not murder, life as we know it does not start at conception.recently I asked at what point does 'God' place the soul inside the human embryo. most Christians claimed at the moment of conception, yet I find that hard to believe that a soul could find be stored in just 1 or 2 cells.for the first few weeks, it's just a mass or clump of cells with no shape or form. after the first few months, I think abortion is wrong, unless of course the mother's life is in danger.if we start arresting our doctors for certain people's select morals, then life as we know it will be in decline. I don't know about you but I don't want to fall back to the dark ages.

It is not murder. Murder is a legal term. There is no law against it.

It's a womans choice. Not her states or her governors. Or even her presidents. Womans body = womans choiceEdit: Sorry for grammar errors.

Yes I do believe abortion is murder. And no, I do not support the death penalty - it is also murder. I am pro life all the way.

I do believe abortion is murder. It is not my place to advocate the murder of another. That's Jesus's job.

Abortion isn't murder, we live in a country where you should be able to choose whether or not to have a kid or not, so one day a women gets raped and gets pregnant but yet has to live with that kid and the memory of getting raped......wow LOL conservatives make me laugh.

Yes. No.Ravi Zacharius:"Can I ask you a question? On every university campus I visit, somebody stands up and says that God is an evil God to allow all this evil into our world. This person typically says, 'A plane crashes: Thirty people die, and twenty people live. What kind of a God would arbitrarily choose some to live and some to die?'"I continued, "but when we play God and determine whether a child within a mother's womb should live, we argue for that as a moral right. So when human beings are given the privilege of playing God, it's called a moral right. When God plays God, we call it an immoral act. Can you justify this for me?"

NoBut I wonder why we don't apply the death penalty to the guy who throws the switch (or injects the fatal drugs). Then of course his executioner must be executed, and then his, and so on.

I agree with Pangel...you make abortion illegal and you can see a huge rise in the number of babies being dumped in doorways/hospitals/dumpsters etc...illegal abortions will still be performed without proper regulations such as pre and after health checks....even abortions being performed late on in pregnancy where it would currently be deemed illegal by lawI don't agree with Abortion personally but common sense must prevail

I don't believe it is murder. I would rather a fetus be aborted early in the pregnancy than a woman raise a child that she does not want, love or can't provide for. Too many people have children who truly should not. What do you think welfare pays for? Also, if a female friend or relative of yours got pregnant due to a rape, would you be ok with her having the child? The death penalty should not be used for doctors who perform abortions and for women who seek abortions. Roe v. Wade gave us the right to have an abortion and the death penalty is for heinous crimes like intentional murder.

"Murder" is a legal term, at the upper end of "wrongful death" laws. You question assumes 1) there is an official crime committed, and 2) it is more heinous and deserving of the death penalty than all of the horrible crimes that are NOT subject to the death penalty.

Murder is murder no matter how old the person is. God will have to be the judge.

I only believe in abortion in the case of rape. Otherwise it is murder. Which I only God should judge what the punishment should be.As the bible says " Let those without sin cast the first stone"

I don't think it can be murder when the child isn't even born yet. It has more positives then negatives because it can help young people that don't use birth control.

Personally I am against abortion. You are taking a living being that you helped create, and you are killing it.You can get pregnant again, but that person will never return.I was much more pro-choice before I became a father. That being said, I do think if you are pregnant and are considering abortion, the decision should largely lie with you AND the father, and not the very opinionated group of us here at Yahoo.I also don't believe, however, that it's the government's place to outlaw it.I do favor the following restrictions:1. only legal in the first trimester - the fetus is very much a living person in the 2nd & 3rd trimesters2. only 1 per woman per lifetime - using abortion because one is too lazy to use birth control is reprehensible3. always OK in cases of rape or incest - a woman should not have to endure the pain of birth having already endured the pain of rape and/or incest4. OK in cases where the Mother's life is in danger or if the fetus has a severe medical issue and will never live a "normal" life.In answer to the 2nd part of your question, currently in the US, abortion is legal and therefore Doctors and Women are not breaking the law, therefore your question about applying the death penalty to non-law breakers is ludicrous.
