she is a stray cat and have had her for approx 5 years. The other day i heard her meowing when she was going toilet. During the day she kept trying to urinate every 30 seconds. once she tries to go toilet, she then stops and starts panting. obviously i was going to take her to the vets but she soon fined up. yesterday she was fine (what i had seen of her) and was peeing well; there was no panting or cries of pain. this morning i woke up to her meowing. she was trying to go toilet again, and thats when i could see that her urine was like watered down blood. im going to make an appointment with the vet when ever i can, however this could be sometime next week. i need your advise to help suggest what could be wrong and how to keep her comfortable for the mean time. i will be much thankful. if there is any other information that you need to solve this, just add what you need to know in your comment and i will soon add notes underneath. thanks once again :)Thank you everyone for your advise, it helped a great deal. My cat has an appointment with the vet. so hopefully all goes well. thanks once again.

She most certainly has a urinary tract infection. This is a CLASSIC textbook example of it. You really should get a urine sample to your vet asap because it is a really painful thing to have (if you've ever had one, you know). It is also easily curable with antibiotics =) They are fairly cheap as well!

All you can do for now is make sure she always has fresh clean water. I hope you get her to the vet ASAP

It's a UTI and only antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory will get rid of it. The longer you wait, the worse it will get.

She needs a vet asap! My male cat had the same problem a few months ago and was in real pain so he was whisked off to the dr quick sharp who diagnosed a bad kidney infection. He prescribed strong antibiotics and gave him a very large dose of painkiller which let him sleep almost all day but he didn't cry anymore when having a wee thank god. You really can't do anything for her at home, a change of diet won't help at all, she needs to see your vet. Ring them and explain that she's in real pain and needs to be seen immediately or better still, just turn up with her and you'll be guaranteed a check up! Good luck.
