I think they have as much right as anyone else to get an education. I say... good for you for having the guts to continue with school " You will have a better chance at raising your child and getting a good job if you stay in school.Go for it!

I think pregnant teens & moms should be allowed to mainstream right in with everyone else in school. I remember the "bad old days" when a pregnant girl was sent as far away as possible ["visiting Auntie"] and had to quit school or be tutored. It's tough enough to be a pregnant kid in the first place, and young moms AND new moms need all the education they can get to be able to support themselves eventually. Any school district that makes it tough on these brave women & girls to stick with their education program should be punished severely...vote out their trustees and board members, etc. Life's tough as it is...don't make it worse!

It makes me sad that so many teens are getting pregnant these days, but I see nothing wrong with them in the public school system.

Well I am against babies having babies, but education is very important so I suggest that she gets it anyway that she can, it may be tough but she will be thankful later!

Well since I am a pregnant teen mom I feel that it is good that I am still thinking about my education, because if I don't have an eduaction I will not be able to raise my twin girls. Just because I am young and did one stupid thing which I don't think is stupid doesn't mean I can't have an education. I can take night classes, go back to school when I am ready. Right now is not the time to put even more pressure on us pregnant teen moms because be already have enough. Just give us a break.

Teens aren't supposed to be pregnant and if girls are expelled from schools because of pregnancy the father if he is a teen too should be expelled as well!

Thank goodness they are at least putting the effort forth to get an education before or after they have given birth. I had one high school in Washington that had a daycare in it, you were required to take parenting classes, child development classes, etc. and to spend some amount of time with your child...fathers included. Also, my high school in California, they didn't let you come to the regular high school, you were carted off to the adult ed center.Again, so long as these girls are still trying for their education, the more power to them. It's the ones that drop out who worry me most.

While I'm not crazy about teenage girls and boys becoming parents at such a young age, I do believe they both have a right to their educations. The girls especially need to educate themselves with a minimum of a high school diploma because a lot of these girls end up alone or with a very weak support system. They need the educations to make a good life for themselves and for their children and also to keep the doors for future opportunity open. One mistake doesn't make them dumb and they shouldn't be punished because of it. There will be some people who say that having pregnant teens in class is distracting to other students. I believe this is a gross underestimate of the maturity of high schoolers. Yes, there are always going to be some who crack jokes, but those are the same people who will make fun of the gay kid or anyone else perceived to be "different." A pregnant teen would not be any bigger of a distraction than the kid with a mohawk. This is a terrible excuse some people try to use to deny teen girls to the education they so badly need.

I am sympothetic becuase i was a teen parent.
They are foolish and should control their hormones! Both the guy and the girl are at fault and no one in their teens should be having sex! Its not safe and not even talking about ruining their lives! If, you are going to have sex at a young age,(not recommanded) use condoms! DONT HAVE SEX WHEN YOU ARE UNDER AGE!!!!!!!!!!!
