View Full Version : Chest pain help.?

My chest began hurting last night. It remains sore but it weaves between intense and mild. It mainly occurs when I swallow but not when I breathe. In fact breathing seems to occasionally help. The pain is so bad that I get past the point of tears.I also sometimes have chills. I've tried Acetametophin and Ibupruofin and they only work for ~30 minutes. I can't find anything with those symptoms. Can anyone help me?

Go to see a doctor/hospital. Don't wait around for an answer

Well, from the symptoms you are listing it does not sound like it is cardiac related. you might have a hernia in your esophagus. The only way to rule that out is to get scoped by a G.I. Doctor, don't worry it is not fatal, you will be ok.

go to webmd.com and use the symptom finder doodad they have. Sometimes muscle pain in your back can give you the feeling your chest hurts.for temp relief try:do some slow breathing fully inhale and exhale.ortake a sock and fill it 3/4 with dry ricetie a knot in the endmicrowave it for 1 min on high.place on your back like any other heat padjust microwave the rice again if you need to heat it up again. Use it over and overit really works
