If you are already having suicidal thoughts then this forumis not where you are going to find your answers, you really must call a professional who will be able to help you. And oyur mom will understand. That is why she is your mother. Talk to her for support.

It takes a lot of courage to write this out, good for you!1. Go www.southbeach.com, show your mom, and ask her to help you begin it. I lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks.2. Find the book: Hicks "Ask and it is Given"

pls dont suicide coz u know the fact that god gave us our life and he's the only one who has the right to take it away from us. this type of depression is quite common. the best medicine to this would be watching some comedy movies n hanging out with friends or any other things which makes u fell at least little happy. there is one one thing which i feel is very effective it is looking into the mirror and talking to urself (pls do it when ur alone at home) by this u'll feel a little light at heart n u'll be also able to find out the factor which is the cause of ur depression. this kind of depression can be reduced i u talk to a faithful friend who can understand all your feelings n obviously u'll feel a bit more better. since u mentioned earlier u have no one to talk to it is better u do the mirror thing. u can also trying to talk to ur mom about ur suicidal thoughts n tell u cant find peace in the house n all, n if u tell in a good way ur mom will fall for it. try being busy with social activities n stuff which will reduce ur depression coz u'll be busy n Will have no time to think about all these things.C'mon life has many ups and downs u'll have to face it but some, i can understood is too hard to take in. try taking things in +sense.

i don't think you need a doctor sweety , every one goes through depression ,if your a teenager you are likely to experince this.i think you need to have a serious talk with your mother , and make her see through your eyes , i'm sure shell understand. also , try a yoga class or try going to curves , thats a great way to get fit! plus , the more occupied u are the less depressed u'll be. sounds werid but worked for me.also , spend more time with yur friends , and try making new ones , and get new cloths. like at torrid , it's a store for plus size girls and they have the cutest things , like cute cloths , and very nice earrings & stuff. this shud boost yur self confidence. have fun! life isn't long make the most of it that u can , but if u think u are experincing "severe" depression then consider an appoitment with a doctor.=]good luck dear!

Sweety, none of that means you're depressed except for the suicidal thoughts.. We all feel like giving up sometimes, it's part of life.. And about having a low self esteem, and being obese.. I'm sure you're not obese, i think maybe you're just too obsessed with the fact that all we see on tv and the malls is cute girls wearing super cute clothes, but honey, we all would like to look like them, it's normal. You shouldn't care about looks, they will go away sooner or later, i betcha any money Beyonce ain't gonna look the same in 30 years.. So if you really feel so bad about being a lil fatty, then get on a diet, and try to exercise a little everyday..And most important, talk to your Mom about it, you'd be surprised at how she could react if you tell her you're so sad about this whole thing.. Nobody in this whole world could EVER love you as much as your mother do.. So don't be silly, make some coffee and have a good and long conversation with your Mom about your worries in life, i'm sure she's gonna be there for you, no matter what.About the suicidal thoughts, why don't you go see a psychologist?.. I would, if i was you.. Life is too precious to give up the easy way. And you're not alone sweety, email me if you wanna talk ok?May God be your guide Tako

You are in a hard painful situation. so please get help soon. I got some info online that might help you. One of the website visited was www.spsfv.org. There you can find more info related to your situation. The numbers is 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433) LifeLine: 1-800-273-8255 I got this other from the Girls and Boys Town National Hotline. Their number is 1-800-448-3000 (TTY 1-800-448-1833). Their website is www.girlsandboystown.org. This last one you can even email them. so check them out. If you call you r going to talk to a life trained counselor. They are open 24/7days a week and 365 days. I hope you get well.

It sounds to me that you are a teenager. If so; understand that it is normal to feel that talking with your parents will not help. However not letting them know how you feel is actually the worst thing you can do.However because you are convinced it is your Mother who may be part of the reason for your feelings, it would probably be best for you to ask your parents to see a counselor. They may say no or even say why can't we talk about this ourselves, just say You do not feel comfortable talking about it with them. be sure to mention the severity of your feelings, as you have stated here, Specifically the "suicidal thoughts'. Do not be shocked if they reply to you admitting about suicidal thoughts, by saying your just looking for attention. It sometimes happens.I hope that whatever you decide to do ultimately leads to you feeling better emotionally, and also improves they way you live daily.I hope I helped.Yours TrulyKDII

I have no idea. Being depressed is normal for some, it's a basic survival skill.

Please get off this board! I have read some of the answers and they are appalling. There are many mental health professionals that work on a sliding scale. I don't know where you live, but most urban communities have a County Mental Health facility. I can understand why you are not comfortable talking to your mother. She probably has her own issues and if yoou don't wish to share your thoughts with her, that is entirely your business. You desperatately need a professional, and all you need to do is go to the County Mental Health facility. Tell them what you posted here, and they will see that you get the help that you need. Of course your mother will have to be told once you take that step, but they will do that job for you. Let them do that..that is their job. You are very wise to ask for help..it's just that this isn't the way to do it. Clinical depression is not to be taken lightly. You have a lot of company. Many people have suffered some abuse in their early childhoods and that is one of the major causes of clinical depression. It is a physical thing..your brain is a body part, just like your arm. If your arm hurt, you would go to a doctor to stop making it hurt. It is the same for mental health. We are not living in the dark ages. Everyone in Hollywood talks about their therapist:} Maybe they will even have you attend some group therapy with young people your age, in addition to one-on-one. Also, they will give you medication and will monitor it, and that is also a very big help. You can email me if you like. If you are having suicidal thoughts..most communities have a suicide hotline. They are 24/7. Just call 911 and ask them for the number of the hotline. They can also assist you in getting the help that you need. It will all be confidential and they will not tell your mother. Please do this and don't wait. You don't have to live this way. Your weight is a symptom of your depression and the abuse that you suffered as a child. When you get the help you need, then you will be in a much better position to take care of dealing with the weight. Please please do this and please email me if you would like. Toni
