What was Chinese medicine like in the earlier centuries? I'm assuming they dealt more with acupuncture and herbal stuff than the Europeans did? I mean, no offense, but the Europeans had pretty atrocious medical practices up until the 18th century or so... Does anyone know enough to be able to make a comparison?
