...and Birth Control? Women obtain abortions to end an unwanted pregnancy and are then labeled and/or frowned upon by many in our society who are "pro-lifers". And then there are women who use birth control methods to prevent pregnancies from even taking place and no one even gives it a second thought. Whether a woman obtains an abortion or takes birth control....aren't they all trying after the same goal - to prevent a life from being born? I understand an abortion seeker already has a confirmed pregnancy - a baby is already growing in her body. With that said, however, birth control is screwing around with a woman's reproductive system to prevent an egg from being able to be fertilized - hence ceasing the potential for a life to be created. If abortion is murder, isn't birth control just another form of murder?? They are both used to cease/end/prevent a life, so what's the difference? Seriously...what's the difference?

I don't know I thought I was suppose to follow the leader. Too bad that I tag behind, but I can still see who is at the front of the line.

Contraception is about preventing conception.Abortion is about preventing birth.I'd say there's a pretty big difference.

i see what you're saying. and i'm pro choice to a point. pro lifers are pretty weird..... every time i drop a load on a pro lifer's face, i don't see her goin' nuts tryin' to save each of my little sperms.. and every one of their periods, i don't see them trying to save their little eggs. they sure do love war though, don't they? they couldn't give a rat's ass when it comes to Iraqis (fully grown human beings, that feel pain and are aware) getting blown to hell every day. but they cherish the microscopic sperms and eggs. beyond idiotic, right?

Using abortion for birth control shows a pitiful lack of education.Condoms allow at the same time birth control and STD prevention. Spread the word about condom use dear.Education is the key.

There should be quite a difference. Birth control does not end the life of a fetus that is developing into a "person". I do not care what fundamentalists think, they have their own set of problems. Just use some common sense.
