...have had a EKG? that they said was so perfect it could be put in books. I have had blood work done. Nothing found. It completely went away my 9 mos of pregnancy but now that I had my son-it is back. It feels like alot of pressure mostly on my right side under my breast but sometimes it is on the left side. Some days it hurts-some days nothing. I do not have insurance and am broke so cannot go to doc. I went to just a regualr everything clinic and brought the doc my EKG results and blood work from the other clinic(college clinic) and she said that there is nothing wrong with me that she can see. I am only 22 and just want to know what it could be. thanksThe only waY I can decribe the pressure is like when I am sitting up against a couch and I lean back against the couch-it hurts for just a second. Not painful-but just annoying~~~EDIT~~~it is mostly on my LEFT side but sometimes onmy right which makes me think it could not be my heart.

Can you go to another free clinic? Could it be simple heartburn or gas?? Sometimes (I think) people have complained of chest pain and it turned out to be gas instead.(I could be wrong, don't quote me.)Good Luck though!

Unfortunately no one on YA can diagnose you, we can only guess what might be happening. And we might be wrong. You are having chest pains, that's not normal, there is something wrong. It might be your heart, it might be your esophagus, it might be something totally unrelated.Health care is pricey, but it can save your life. See if you can qualify for care at a community health clinic. Of borrow the money from a parent or relative, or put it on a credit card and worry about it later, or get it from your son's father.

At your young age it is not likely that you are close to having a heart attack, but since this pain has persisted for so long, I would see a cardiologist and get a stress test on a tread mill. Your problem could be a lot of things from indigestion, gas, stress, or a precursor to a heart problem. Get it checked out and an EKG is not sufficient testing. You may have to work a little to find a facility that will do it inexpensively or for free, but don't let them tell you no. See a social worker. I am sure they will find a way to help.
