Your shoulder is just sore. Make sure you let your body rest. If you force anything than it can damage your shoulder. Also, make sure you warm-up before you play tennis. It will help relieve some soreness.

It probably has something to do with your tendon. It happens when you practice a lot. But you should still keep practicing. There are such things called "tiger balm" which you can buy at places like Costco. Leave that on for at least 2 hours and then take a hot bath or shower and then ice it, then put tiger balm on your shoulder again. That's what you should do when you get home. You should always ice it first right after practice. It's like cooling down the engine.

depends on a few things. I've had 2 shoulder surgeries...so listen.1. it could just simply be overuse. if that is the case, rest it, ice it, stretch it, and take some pain killers for...duh...the pain.2. it could be a weak muscle group that requires strengthening. just do a whole bunch of rotator cuff exercises and hopefully that will strengthen it. 3. now here is where it gets tricky. it could be torn, or built up with scar tissue that is impinging the movement of the shoulder capsule (which is what happened to me). Every time i would do the overhead motion...it would kill for about a week. Finally, after it got unbearable...and i couldnt even lift my arm to hang up clothes...i had an MRI done and the doctor told me he needed to do decompression surgery to open up the space. If i wouldnt have gotten that done, it would have peeled away all the good tissue, tendons, and muscles.

your shoulder may be hurting because of you using it too much with the wrong technique.adjust your technique just a bit, maybe your ball toss or backswing and warmup your shoulder beforehand. otherwise use ice on the pain.
