...the heart cath was normal? I am 47, female, a triathelete (I work out A LOT) and during a strenous swim workout had heaviness and a dull pain in my chest. I had convinced myself it was muscular in nature BUT after 44 laps I quit and drove myself to the hospital. After a work up that included numerous EKG's (several were abnormal), echocardiogram and a heart cath, my arteries are perfectly normal and the only real abnormality was a high white count. Now what? I still have this pain, BUT it hasn't changed character and so the doctors aren't hugely worried. Should I get a second opinion?
