Can piercings give you HIV/AIDs?

I got my bellybutton pierced when I was 16 and now I'm 20. For some reason, I'm getting really paranoid about contracting AIDs from the piercing. Thinking about it, the piercing place was kind of sketchy and is known for serving minors. I'm getting worried and I want to get tested as soon as possible. Am I just being way too paranoid?

If they don't sterilise the equipments properly then there is an increased risk of contracting the disease from contaminated neddles. But in todays society people use seperate needles each time so that should put your mind at ease. In any case if you want to know for sure if you have AIDs/HIV you need to get tested.

I guess you could have contracted aids from the needle they may have used but i think its very unlikely and in 4 years one would think that you may have some sort of symptoms of having aids... but yeah by all means get tested you wont stop worrying until you know but i think finding out if you have aids takes quite some time!
