alcoholism is often link to feeling of hopelessness & depression....People tend to become alcoholic, becoz it's their way of coping their stress....Usually, peers were significant factor too...The best way to fight for it......learn to have self-control and discipline.....strengthen ur confidence abt urself.....stay away frm parties...and peers who are indulged to this kind of activities.....Divert your attention to activities that are most beneficial to your health.....like sports....being with family....

Alcoholism, like other depressants, are craved and abused simply because it makes you feel good and allows you to escape your life's problems(if only for a few minute/hours)The only way to stop an addiction of any kind is to recognize the fact that your relying on this substance for yuor happiness and that in fact, this is not helping you and that the only thnig that can bring true fulfillment/happiness comes from within(this goes for people like me,who suffer from depression)Alcoholism is not genetic,if that where the cae, then I would be one!

typically, alcoholism is inherited and becomes an addiction..true definition of addiction is mostly misunderstood..it's a difficult thing to fight, it's also difficult to watch someone suffer from it, and it's also a family disease..meaning the alcoholic somehow criples many family members.
