Mollies and Platties are live bearers meaning their young hatches inside the abdomen.If you keep an eye on the females belly, it will swell and darken. This darkening is the eyes of the young.If she is almost due and you want to know when you should move her into the birthing box (a small tank you put in the original) she will seem restless, appear motionless and possibly do sharp jumps. These jumps are her contractions and she'll be in labor soon.You must seperate the fry from anny other fish as many fry die from being eaten.
