I've being feeling so sick and tired from this cold that just won't go away.I went to the doctor 3 days ago and he told me that I got a bad case of pneumonia. He gave me some meds to take for five days but I'm not really feeling any progress.I need some home remedies to get over this thing.Someone please help!!!Pneumonia is no joke but at the same time,I often say to myself we spent so much money (doctors & hospital) when we can on the other hand find other ways(remedies) to treat colds, pneumonia and certain illnesses.

You might need more medication and you should go back to your Doctor. Take good care of your lungs.

I had pneumonia in 8th grade and it look me a month and a half to fully recover. The antibiotics are gonna be slow progress, unfortunately its not something that is gonna just pass over like a stomach flu. If you still feel super terrible after 2 weeks, go back to the doctor, he may have to give you stronger antibiotics if the ones you have now are not working.Stay inside, do not go out if you have to. Try to refrain from any outdoor activities or sports, Pneumonia makes it hard to breathe and sux as it is...If you ignore bed rest and insist on going out and doing strenuous activities, you may only make your recovery take even longer.putting the vicks vapor rub on your chest at night provides some comfort.

There is no home remedy for pneumonia - go back to your doctor! I had pneumonia 2 months ago and was put on antibiotics for 10 days - I too was not better after the 10 days were up, so I went back to the doctors and they put me on a stronger antibiotic for another 2 weeks. It finally went away. but it took me over a month to recover. My doctor said that if I did not go back to him, I would have ended up in the hospital. Please don't full around with this! Good luck!

I HAVE HAD PNEUMONIA TWICE AND RECOVERY IS LONG. THE ANTIBIOTICS AND COUGH MEDS THEY GAVE ME WHERE LEVEQUIN .. AND I CANT RECALL THE NAME OF THE COUGH SYRUP BUT I WAS PRETTY MUCH IN BED OUT COLD FOR THE FIRST 3 DAYS.I DO REMEMBER FEELING LIKE "THESE THINGS ARENT WORKING! " BUT THEY WILL I PROMISE, JUST GIVE IT A FEW MORE DAYS. I HONESTLY DIDNT FEEL LIKE MYSELF FOR A FEW WEEKS. i USED A VAPORIZER IN MY BEDROOM AND THAT HELPED AND SOME VICKS CHEST RUB TOO. GOOD LUCK AND GET WELL.

Oh my God, I just had to click this because my dad had pneumonia, too! The docter gave him meds too, but they weren't working for him. So he did some research on the Internet and found out about Grapefruit Seed Extract. You can get Grapefruit Seed Extract at Atkins (thats where he went) or another store similar to it. He said that he started feeling better the same day he started using it.I hope this helps, good luck!

Stay home and out on a fire if you've got one. Ask someone to put new bedsheets on your bed then g downstairs and curl up in front of the television with your duvet. Eat loads of fruit - and no bad stuff whatsoever. Basically chill. Don't do any work at all. Make sure you get 2 litres of water a day - try hot drinks as well. Make sure you are always warm and keep the house full of fresh air - but warm! Get well soon =D

Pneumonia is common ailment. My friend had pneumonia due to slow resistance and the lungs are weak. Common causes perhaps, we tend to love to love the cold showers right after working hard from the office, or had been exhausted from playing outdoor, etc. And other causes we could hardly avoid, the smokes we get from some inconsiderate smokers. Maybe need to take vitamin c a lot and enough rest to have strong resistance to fight this disease.

Pneumonia is a serious infection which causes inflammation of lungs. In this case oxygen has trouble reaching your blood and if there is little oxygen in blood, your body cells won't work properly. The drugs used to fight pneumonia are determined by which germ caused the pneumonia. When after medication if patient's temperature returns to normal, then it must be continued according to the doctor's prescriptions, otherwise the pneumonia may occur again. So better take good care of yourself. Bye.
