Kidney Problems associated with back pain.?

My mom has recently experienced some back pain. She has undergone some tests (blood tests, urine tests) and they've all came back normal. But today she went in for a CS scan and the doctor said that one of her kidneys is lower than the other. Now, I have googled 100 different things trying to find out what may be the problem and i've had no luck. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I really appreciate the help.

If her kidneys are working good it not that. It could be stress , both my mom and dad had have small and had no pain,

Only way of getting back pain from kidneys would be due to stones. Yes, if you have stones in your kidneys, you will experience severe back pain which will not be relieved with topical ointments or pain relievers. You better check with your doc who might suggest a CT scan to find the stone.
