I heard that Prilosec is good, but the doctor gave me Protronix. Also...does reflux make your mouth taste like 'metal', and your throat feel like leather? Thanks for your answers!! I guess it ain't the end of the world, but will be nice to get rid of this reflux

Prevacid ...ask your doctor about it. If you're looking for an "over the counter" drug. ...You could buy Tums. Go to the store and ask the person at the pharmacy.

Supplement to what your doctor advises..... I find anise tea (that licorice flavour) works well. Or... just reduce coffee, alcohol and spicy food - nothing too tight in the waist.
