I have a pain my chest, right down the middle. About 1-2" above where my ribs split. It's not an intense pain(mild-moderate, dull), and makes it 'slightly' harder to breathe, "when" it hurts. I've had it for 1-2 weeks, it comes and goes. If I am standing or sitting up, it will sometimes start to hurt. When I am laying down, it's usually gone. It seems to have started when I was slouching in my chair, but I wonder because I was told there's not much muscle there. To note: I'm 18 (Not my heart?), I spent most of the last 36 hours in bed(For a completely different reason(Might have slept wrong??)), and I have anxiety disorder.. It's not an intense pain, and it doesn't go to my left arm etc.I seem to remember it feeling fine when I was sitting in my chair, and then I slouched for a couple of hours and it hurt.. again. I had a cold a couple weeks ago (From cutting drywall), and I could feel a pain there when coughing. Pneumonia? But I don't have a fever or most of the other symptoms."It may be nothing, but it may be cardiac."Are there any other likely symptoms? Fast heart beat, etc? My normal is 84, and of course.. alot lower when I'm about to fall asleep."how do you get a cold from cutting drywall? i thought a cold was a virus. "Drywall dust is toxic. I assume it would have just lowered my immune system.

Wonder whats keeping u from visiting a doctor. There could be several reasons - gas, acidity etc. It could be a sprain too... Dont assume things

you might have torn the cartlidge between your ribs. I have done it and it hurts like hell. Treatment is rib belt and time. Good luck!
It could be indigestion (heart burn caused by stress) or a hiatal hernia. (You have two openings going from the esophagus to the stomach called hiatal one and hiatal two which can become inflamed and sometimes rupture.)Check with your doctor. (Also have your lungs checked outto be sure you didn't inhale too much drywall dust!)I hope you feel better soon.

I think you sprained your chest, even though you did not know it,maybe you hurt it when you made love, hehe.I think you'd better wait and see,if you only have this painful symptom. After two or three weeks,i think you'll feel better.
