...children from someone else? My mother was diagnosed with asthmatic bronchitis. After 5 days of visiting her grandson who is 2 years old, he was diagnosed with bronchitis. Is it possible for my mother to pass her asthmatic bronchitis on to her grandson?

Yes it is most likely a recessive trait in you and possibly (if it did come from her) in your spouse. Recessive traits are a trait you can pass on but doesnt show in you. Your son has it know but doesnt always pass it on. example: r= bronchitis R= no bronchitis your mother you r r Rr your father R Rr Rr your spouse R RR Rr R Rr Rr r Rr rryour child: rr, dominant traits always take over, recessive traits need another recessive trait to show.sorry my diagram didnt work out.
