What do you mean 'allow' divorce. No-one has the right to deny anyone else the freedom to divorce if their marriage has broken down.

Technically they don't have a say so about it. The law does and it's perfectly legally.

Divorce is not a sin. It is better that two people be allowed to separate and have the potential for happy lives than to be trapped in a miserable marriage.

Divorce is a LEGALITY, not a religious thing. Annulments are civil and church-granted. There may be a problem with terminology here and understanding.

Can't speak for anyone else, but Jesus allowed for divorce, only on the grounds of fornication (running around) in Matthew chapter 19. That is the only truly Christian ground for it, as you will see if you read it. Of course, you can't tell people what to do. In Ephesians chapter 5 and 6, the Bible gives counsel, which, when people do it, helps prevent divorce and promote happy marriages...Best regards, Mike

Because they realize that they serve the people who donate to them.

Churches don't "allow" anything. The couple does. It's their decision.
