past 4 weeks, what's up? for the past 4 weeks ive been experiencing symptoms of not wanting to eat, nausea, bad stomach pains, and the pain is above my bully button, and have tried everything from gas pills to antiacids, but nothing will help. if i dont eat for awhile my stomach hurts and then if i do eat it just hurts worse. ive been diagnosed with panic and anxiety and have had it show itself as false heart problems, but i dont know if that is what it really is. i had $30,000 worth of tests done on my heart just for them to tell me it was all in my head and i cant afford that kind of nonsense again so i am scared of going to the dr. i just dont know what to do because i am sick of being in pain but i really dont want to face another bill medical bill for nothing. i guess i just wanted to know if this sounds like it is all in my head or if it may be real? i just dont want something to be really wrong with me and me just ignore thinking it is nothing. i guess i just dont want to be in pain anymore. help

You might have a type of indigestion called nonulcer stomach pain. also the condition is called nonulcer dyspepsia.Nonulcer stomach pain is a common, sometimes long-lasting (chronic) disorder of the upper gastrointestinal system, which includes your esophagus and first part of your small intestine (duodenum) as well as your stomach. The disorder can cause signs and symptoms that resemble those of a peptic ulcer, such as pain or discomfort in your upper abdomen, often accompanied by bloating, belching and nausea.Nonulcer stomach pain occurs for no apparent reason and isn't necessarily related to a particular disease. Rather, the culprit may be a temporary problem, such as eating too quickly, overeating or dealing with a stressful event. For some people, stomach pain is a chronic condition. For many people, however, the symptoms of nonulcer stomach pain are often short-lived and preventable.I understand that you do not want to go to the doctor again but you should find a specialist. If your budget does not allow for this right now...try eating a variety of fruits and veggies and also plenty of water and nuts. avoid dairy, carbs and junk food for a few weeks, and see if this make you feel any better.I really hope that this was helpful in some sense and that you do get better soon. :)

First of all, anxiety is not all in your head. It is an entire body experience. During stressful periods in my life I have experienced panic attacks (absolutely terrifying, I thought I was having a heart attack or losing my mind), and the exact same GI symptoms you described, and was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. Just because symptoms are being caused by something other than a virus or "disease" doesn't make them any less annoying or painful. Irritable bowel can occur anywhere in the GI track, from the esophagus all the way to the rectum. It is basically spasms in points that can cause diarrhea, constipation, pain, indigestion...the only thing I ever found to help my stomach from hurting was to massage it and try to force the muscle to relax and allow trapped air to escape. I did all the corny breathing and relaxation exercises (which really did help) but most of all I tried to pay close attention to my body. I noticed that I was keeping my abdominal muscles very tight (the stress) so I concentrated throughout the day on keeping those muscles relaxed. It did help me. I found that eventually I could force my whole body to relax when a panic attack hit, I would not allow myself to hyperventilate and would breath deeply and slowly and the heart racing lasted a much shorter time. After a while the symptoms seemed to eventually go away. I hope this helps you. You certainly aren't the only one who has anxiety! And the symptoms of it. Good luck darlin!!
