Meningitis as the inflammation (itis) of the meninges (the covering of the spinal cord). It can cause headache, tenderness in your neck, inability to touch you chin to your chest, dizziness, cloudy thinking, etc. If you truly think you may have it, you need to be seen by a health care professional immediately. Not tomorrow, immediately !

Basically, everyone has already sum up what it is, inflammation and infection of the meninges in your brain. But the main signs to look for is headache w/ stiff neck and a high grade fever. Those are the 3 main symptoms they look for. The ER doctor will take a spinal tap and if it turns cloudy, that will let them know that you have it. They would probably then admit you and a neurologist would run more test to find out what damage the meningitis has done. Hopefully, nothing but sometimes that's not the case. So, if you think you have it please go now to the ER and let them know your symptoms and tell them straight up you think you have meningitis so they can take the proper steps to investigate. Sometimes, their speculation is way off and they may brush it off and say you have the flu so make sure you tell them you symptoms in full detail.I hope you feel better and I hope it's not meningitis,
