fetus/hearing heartbeat? I am 8 weeks pregnant. I saw my baby via ultrasound at 6 weeks and heard the heart beat, which was 110 bpm.I know that miscarriage is likely in the first trimester, but do chances of miscarriage drop at all after seeing the baby and hearing a normal heart beat?

Yes, they do. A good number of miscarriages occur before the heartbeat even develops, so if you got to that point you're way ahead.Stick little bean, stick!!Good luck!

Yes chances of miscarriage is lower after hearing the baby's heartbeat. Hearing the fetal tones is a very good sign that things are progressing as they should

no it doesn't drop...when you get pass the first trimester then your fine...you can lose a baby at any time my aunt lost her baby at 7 1/2 months...but your at less of a risk after the first trimester is over though

Technically, after hearing fetal heart beat, the pregnancy is proclaim about 70% viable. Congrats...but having expererienced and witnessed so many unfortunate incidences, (to put i in a more pessimistic way) I will be very careful till at least 7 months pregnant if I were u.
