Possible miscarriage or what?

ok.. I've been on the birth control pill for just over a year. I recently stopped taking it but then got back on it 9 days later then took it for a whole week and stopped. I have not taken anymore since then but I'm having my period. Atleast thats what I hope it is. I just had my regular period 2 weeks ago and it ended right at the begining of Nov. Now I'm having sharp pains sometimes.. not really cramps and I'm bleeding quite much (not normal for my period). So I was wondering.. is it possible for me to be having a miscarriage or just a weird period b/c I've been on and off the pill. And I wouldn't be asking this question if I didn't have sex which I did right at the begining of the month. (condom included in the act). So, could this be a miscarriage? (hope not) thanks for any advise and no I did not pee on a pregnancy stick b/c I never thought I'd be pregnant in the first place.

This is a hard question to answer for anyone, even those like myself who has miscarried. You best bet is to consult a doctor. If a condom was used then I doubt you are pregnant but it's better to be safe than sorry.The pill can cause weird periods because of the hormones in them.As I stated before call the doctor just to be safe. And don't take the pills again until you talk to the doctor. Stopping and starting them like you have been can cause problems.

I think your period is just acting funky this month; don't think it's a miscarriage or pregnancy..
