I'm a teacher and my job is very stressful. I find that the more it goes, the more stressed out I become. How do I deal with it effectively? Any suggestions?

Whiskey works for me, but the problem is that I can't indulge myself until I get OFF work. If only I could have a libation while I'm actually AT work!... if only!Good luck!

You mentioned that you're a teacher, which I think is a great thing. Think about the effect you have on the kids you teach. It must be satisfying to know that you are helping them to continue their education. Your hard work is what may someday inspire them to achieve great things. Other than that i would suggest that you try your best to get some exercise if it is at all possible. Working out always helps me when im feeling stressed. Exercising helps the body adapt to stress naturally and very effectively. Make sure you're getting enough sleep, I know getting up early to teach can be rough on the body. If you have a pet at home try and give yourself a couple minutes to sit around and just pet it, or listen to some of your favorite music. Congratulate yourself on what you've accomplished, and give yourself rewards. It's a really basic way of dealing with stress, but it works for a lot of people. Good luck!
