Certain strands actually can be, just be careful. If you start feeling sick you shouldn't be kissing anyone. There is no point maikng someone else sick to!

Yes, both bacterial and viral meningitis are spread through air... so since you breath through your mouth, and kiss with it, it definately can be spread that way.

Some forms of bacterial meningitis and encephalitis are contagious and can be spread through contact with saliva, nasal discharge, feces, or respiratory and throat secretions (often spread through kissing, coughing, or sharing drinking glasses, eating utensils, or such personal items as toothbrushes, lipstick, or cigarettes).

Yes, meningitis though not common can be contracted after having mono. They both share similar properties except that meningitis affects the brain

yes, the bacteria can be passed from one person to another, usually through infected saliva or mucus.
