I don't want to sound negative or anything but I don't think so. The best way to find that out is to consult with doctor.

Talk to his doctor, do your research on the Internet. (What type of lung cancer does he have? Is there anywhere that has had good results treating advanced cancer of your husband's type?) Have you talked to Hospice yet? If the doctor gives him a less than six month life expectancy and he isn't pursuing any curative treatments, Hopsice could be helpful for you and him.

My Grandmother is battling lung cancer and she is very catholic. Advice from her, is to love him like the day you met him. God Bless and i will pray hard for a miracle. God will take him when it is time. Dear Lord,Please watch over the man with lung and brain cancer. Please let there be a miracle for him to recover.Peace by Peace, Love by Love, let you take him when it is time.In Jesus Name i Pray Amen

That depends on the type and progress of the cancer. But really it would only prolong his suffering. I am so sorry for what you, your and family are going through. I know how terrible this is for you. The best thing you can do is follow his wants, needs, and wishes. Make him as comfortable as possible and share all the memories you have with each other again. Get out the home movies, photo's and anything else..as long as he is comfortable with it. Please feel free to email me (my info is on profile) if you need to talk or just vent. My mom had breast cancer that spread to her brain, it is so numbing to see this. My thoughts are with you.

I'm sorry. I lost two loved ones to cancer in the past year. One was due to lung cancer.Try to make him as confortable as possible. Also, I recomend you and he reach out to your pastor for emotional support.

They diagnosed me with stage IV lung cancer nov 8th 2006 They told me I wouldn't see a new year. I took only one drug for cancer . Erlotinib 150 MG tab. I also had in in my lymp glands. It started working for me in four days. My left lung had a big tumor in it .They wanted me to take kemo first but I said no I just heard about erlotinib on 60 minutes the night before I went in the hospital. It dried up my tumor . I just thought if they haven.t tried this it would be worth while talking to your doctors about. I told my doctor at the U W why can't I just take erlotinib. I told the him to toss it around with the other doctors. I knew I wouldn't of made it on Kemo because I was so sick. I will pray for your husband . It sure helps. I had a hard struggle. Theres always hope. It has got me through alot bye Wayne Peterson
