Have had stomach problems for years now. Had every test possible and they tell me nothing is wrong with me. They say it's IBS although I do not have diarreah EVER and have tried 6 medications that don't work. I have tried a friend's meds (big no no I know! And after 2 weeks...absolutely cured! The medication is for Crohn's disease. If I have Crohn's is it possible that it did not show up in a blood test, barium swallow, & colonoscopy? The only thing this med is used for is Inflammatory Bowel diseases. Is the new Pill Camera an absolute diagnosis? Is anything?

It's important that you speak with your doctor about the medication that you have discovered that can help you. Don't worry about them being upset with you, it's better that they know so that they can see why this medication has had this effect on you and see if there are any contraindications with other medications you may be on. It is possible that your disease is Crohn's or another IBD which has not been properly diagnosed, as Crohn's is often overlooked. It seems strange to me that your problems are in the stomach as Crohn's is focused in the lower GI tract. I know that it is possible for the disease to move to other parts of the digestive system, although this is usually only during severe flares. If possible, I would first speak with several different physicians (if possible, an IBD specialist) to describe your experiences, symptoms, etc. in further detail. Also, keep doing research yourself on IBD online, at the bookstore or library.I wish you good health and hope that you can overcome your medical problems.
