My eyes are red then pink?

Yesterday my eyes were real red but mainly dark red underneath the pupil. I wear contact lenses so i thought the red might be because of them so I put a new pair in. It didnt help tho, and then the whole day I had kinda headaches behind my eyes. Today my eyes are pink all over. I dont know what it is, I dont feel sick at al my eyes are jsut irritatied. I live near Seattle and one of my friends suggested it might be dust and other stuff coming from the fires in Cali? What do u think it is?

If it was me, wash your eyes out with a gentle eye solution and leave your contacts off for a couple of days to give your eyes a rest and a chance to breathe. Obviously wear glasses if you can't see though.

it could be pink eye you might want to go to your pcp
