emergency contraceptive? My girlfriend just went off Kelnor about a month ago and we had a condom break. Is it possible to use her birth control pills as an emergency contraceptive instead of going to a health center and buying a morning after kit? Thanks for any help! She's not on birth control at the moment, hence the use of condoms.

No, if shes on the pill she should be fine, if her period doesnt come on schedule then worry. Also it takes 5 min. to walk into planned parent hood and get the morning after pill.

no....birth control pills take time to be effective .... usually several months..... even if you miss just one pill when you use them regularly, they tell you to use condoms for like a month to be sure....so if she went off a month ago, taking the pill now is not going to help her any.....

Nope, in order to be effective, the pill needs to be taken every day....for at least a month. Sorry Charlie.
