Why is tuberculosis now on the increase in the UK,like as if we didn't know,are immigrants,asylum seekers, migrant workers and illegals screened to protect the population,or is that simply not politically correct.

That's a very simplified and biased opinion. And I should know I lost an aunt, an uncle and a grandmother on my father's side to TB - none of whom were immigrants, migrants, or foreigners of any description.The truth is that people don't carry handkerchiefs anymore, spit in the street, cough over everybody without any concern for the health of others. It's a health hazard to get on train full of any race, colour or religion.If you can find some official figures confirming your assumption I would be interested in seeing them.

If you went to a UK school then you would have been given a BCG injection around 14/15 years old.Why are people not having health check as part of the immigration process in the UK?Here in the US you have to have a TB test as part of the green card along with an HIV test. Maybe the UK should adopt the same process?

The UK should be the same as Australia - where all immigrants are required to go for health screening before they are granted permission to stay. I think that's a very sensible thing. No country should be expected to put it's own population's health at risk for the sake of being "politically correct." :-)
