Every time I wake up from a nap, my heart is always beating out of my chest. Not because anything is startling me, it just happens. And it is so hard that it is visible through my clothes, and its almost painful. Sometimes it beats VERY hard and slow, other times hard and fast like 2 time a second. and it worries me because I know that if I were older(I'm in my 20s now), like in my 40s or 50s this would be bad for me. Its almost to the point where I'm scared to go to sleep sometimes. Also I'm not fat and I excercize a lot

Make sure you get enough water per day. A heart beating hard could be a sign of dehydration. Do you snore? Another cause of your heart doing that could be sleep apnea, which is when you can't breathe fully while asleep. It also could be a blood pressure problem, or a temperature problem, or even a heart problem.Do you nap in a different place from where you sleep? It could be that your body doesn't like the position you are in when you nap. This is something you should mention to your doctor.
