I can only give you the results we had with our Shih Tzu.We have 2 males from the same litter one had the same problem.The vet had us try several different shampoos for dry skin none of them helped.Then the vet said a specialist in dog alergies was coming up to our area for 2 weeks and made an appointment for us!She found that our one dog was alergic to almost everthing except birch trees!She made up a medication for the dog and we started with 1 shot a week and now it is 1 shot every 6 months!No more chewing or scratching!It was a little expensive, but the pup is very happy I believe it was worth the Cost!livelynet
