...miscarriage? Like a miscarriage early before I actually took a pregnancy test? I suspect I have but I just want to find out. Is there a way a doctor could test me or examine my reproductive organs internally or something to detect if they have ever carried a fetus or embryo?

Most likely not unless you have left over tissue from the embryo. But, as you said, it was very early, so that's quite unlikely.
