Yesterday i had a miscarriage due to a blighted ovum, I was 11wks 2 days, I was lossing alot of blood and clotting heavy, i was passing huge clots, my blood pressure was going down due to extremely painful contractions, The treatment they did at the ER, was to me so brutal, if someone has gone thru this let me know if its normal. They took me to a room and started a pelvic exam they never told me that they were going to insert some long tongs and 4x4 guazes and clean out my uterus it was so painful and so degrating, i told her to stop she said that if she didnt do this that i would have to have surgery, since i told her to stop after a long time of her cleaning me out, she said she would give me some tablets that i had to insert in me to make my uterus contract , since i had an incomplete miscarriage the tablets are called cytotec, the treatment they have me seems so brutal and not right i felt degreated and violated, someone please tell me if what the doctor did to me was righ.

first off id like to say im sorry for your loss, that cant be easy to have to deal with. it sounds like thats right, like they performed a d&c on you. its not pleasant, from what i have heard. they should have told you what they were doing rather than assuming you knew. that part was wrong. they do however have to get all that out or you could get a very lethal infection. again im so sorry for your loss, best wishes on the next time around, God bless

your dr should of told what they were going to do b4 they did it............. you should request an explanation as to why they asumed they could do this treatment without telling you first what they were going to do ........ hope it all works out for you and for you have a healthy pregnency in the future........... what happened to you in that room is very wrong and you should of been told about the treatment b4 hand

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage that required a d&c. However I was put to sleep. This was many years ago.
