i woke up in the middle of tonight to a really bad tooth ache.
its my bottom front tooth.it's kind of cracked, not that deep but moderately.
my other teeth have those cracked strips on them too but not even close to as deep as this one is. and those ones don't hurt.i bite my nails on that tooth all the time which is probably the cause, but i cant help it bc its been a habit for about 5 years.every time i press down on that tooth or touch it i get sharp pains.
whats the problem?? and what will my dentist do about it??

You have exposed the root which is very painful. Your dentist will probably put a crown on it. I would really try to stop the nail biting. There are nasty tasting polishes that you can use to help you accomplish it. You just have to put it on.

tooth ache are the worst aches at all. visit you dentist!! i hope you will only need a new crown, because a root treatment would help you, but is very painfull.

Biting teeth is the worst habit ever. Kick yourself everytime you try to bite them. Maybe this will help in getting rid of the habit :p

It seems that you have more than one damaged tooth. With problems such as this, better consult the dentist. Why suffer for more toothaches if you can just have it removed in less than an hour.

But if you don't feel like visiting the dentist, try to sleep with your head elevated. Toothache usually happens every night because when we sleep all the pressure goes into our head so our teeth are affected.

If tooth is damaged then most probably the doctor will take it off, but since you feel pain maybe it has pus in it and you need to take amoxicilin to relieve the pain and pus before the tooth is taken away.
