Again, I found out i was 5 weeks preg. 5 weeks and 3 days today to be exact. I went to the ER on Monday night because I was spotting and had light cramps. They did blood work and a transvaginal ultrasound and found the sac. They concluded that my HGC levels were at 4,000 which I guess is good. But then i went to see my OB and he said that if he were to guess at this point he would say that i am having an early miscarriage. I have been experiencing period like bleeding (( not as heavy though )) with no cramping at all now. I went today to do another blood test and the doc said my levels went up which is a good sign but now im passing blood clots. not large ones but still. i just need some advice. i heard that some women experience period like bleeding their whole pregnancy....is that possible? help

I am not for sure just speaking from experience. I would encourage you to strongly listen to your doctor. I had a similar experience. Went to the doctor and basically found out that my fetus was only 6 weeks when I should have been 10 weeks. I had spotting and the fetus had a low heartrate. My doctor told me to distance myself from the baby. I was very upset and didn't believe her. Four days later, my spotting turned to blood and an ultrasound confirmed no heartrate. It was absolutely devastating. Like I said, your situation could be different. I'm just telling you my experience. I will say a prayer for you.

That is a really hard one since your levels went up alittle since the last time you had a blood test, but I would have to say if you have started clotting that you are having a miscarriage. When I had my miscarriage I had clotting. I would suggest maybe calling the dr. again and see if they will do another blood test to see if your levels have gone up again or if they are going down. I wish you the best of luck, and hope for the best.

When I found out I was pregnant, I was nearly 5 weeks, and was having what I thought to be implantation bleeding. Well, the bleeding lasted for 8 days, and I also had cramping on and off! I was extremely worried, as I am sure you are, but my doctor told me not to worry yet... my bleeding was either pink or brown in color minus one time it was red. It never got heavier, and the pain never got above light/moderate, which the docs considered a good sign! Eventually both the spotting and cramping went away, and I am now 13 weeks with a healthy pregnancy! I really hope the same happens for you! I would consider it a good sign that your hcg levels are still rising... I am not sure about the clots, as that is one thing I never really had.... but just try to take it easy and not strenuate yourself! I wouldn't have sex either.. (things my doc told me!) If you start to have severe cramping, and your bleeding becomes bright red and gets heavier... see your doctor immediately! Other than that try to stay positive! Best of luck!
