How old do I have to be to get the Contraceptive

Pill without parent consent? Right now, I'm in a very serious long-term relationship with my boyfriend and we were thinking of taking our relationship to the next level sometime in the future. But I definately want to get on the pill first, since I really want it to be safe.. I've done my research and such, but the one question I've never been able to find an answer to is: How old do you have to be to get the pill without parental consent?.. I'm currently 16, and I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. Is it possible to get the pill at my age directly from your doctor without your parents knowing?

well you should talk to your parents but if thats not an option check with planned parenthood as i think they give it to minors

Im not sure about Canada..but here (USA) 16 year olds can get them at the local health dept or planned parenthood

yeah just go to ur doctor and they wont well they cant tell ur parents without ur saying so its against the law

I'm 14, and I live in Hamilton, Ontario, and here you just have to go to a walk in clinic and request to have the pill, most doctors give you them as long as you have a health card, I know I was able to get them without my parents.
