I was diagnosed in August of 2006 and have had 3 attacks. Can anyone tell me a little bit about their own experiences, treatments that work, and lifestyle changes that help with longer remmissions? Anything would be great, you know how annoying it is if you have this chronic illness.

Have had it for over 10 years now this is what i have learned. No vitamin C pills no OJ or oranges or citric type stuff. No redtomato's or type stuff ketchup moderately and not everyday. No No Hot sauce Pic ante sauce. Pizza and spaghetti once in a while. All these causes bleeding. Extream moderation with Milk and Milk products.not cheese really but milk ice cream and apple juice causesdiarhea to the point of no control. and not making it to the bathroom. Have not had much problem with popcorn and nuts but i dont do those on a dailly basis. Yes i still have breakouts stress is another big factor. find what relaxes you and do it alot. Since getting this illness i have also gotten diabetes, high blood preasure and arthritis. Also problems with vision and needing glasses now. Ask any doctor and they will say "well you are getting older you know and these are all signs of getting older." Bullshit. i didnt have diabites till all the steroids they gave me and are still giving me to help get things under control when it gets bad. Steroids makes your blood sugar levels go up. I also didnt have high blood presure either althought the weight gain does not help eithersince having diabietes makes it harder to loose weight.
