cancer shots....? ok...my mother told me that in order to recieve the cervical cancer shots that I couldnt have sex before,.my boyfriend and I are ready to have sex but I am worried about the shots.Is she trying to mess with me or is that true.BUT he is definitly going to wear a condom... so does that mean we can still have sex without it effecting the shots...and if you have any information about the shots at all PLEASE let me know.my mom said it takes a year and a half.... I dont know whether to believe her or not....PLEASE help me....

I just had mine, and they DID ask me if I was sexually active or not. BUT, that was because I was having a check up and they always ask that. I don't think the shot has anything to do with that. The shot is just to protect you from having cervical cancer and such. I read the packet the doctor gave me and I don't believe I read anything about being sexually active or not.

this is true per a lady that i know,getting over cervical cancer caused by a anal std which infected her vagina,that std was cured,but the cancer is part of the package
