Alesse birth control pill - very light first period?

I am on the Alesse birth control pill (28 day pack) and I have almost finished my first pack of pills. I finished all the active pills and am in the middle of the sugar pills. I got my period the second day of taking the sugar pills which was fine, I had a few cramps but nothing out of the ordinary . I had normal bleeding the next day but then the day after (today) I have practically no blood, nothing, only a bit of brownish discharge? Is this normal to just have a much shorter period after taking Alesse? Is this just my body reacting to the pills since it is only the first month that I have been taking them? Thanks for your help!

im on the same pill. my first period was exactly the same. its started on the second day of the sugar pills then it was done after 3 days. if your next month is like what mine was, your period might start midway through the sugar pills or toward the end. i had a 5-7 day period and after taking alesse its just 3 days so everything you said sounds normal.
