Get over it, it is just a hug for christ's sake.

If the behavior is unwanted, and sexual in nature - that by definition is sexual harassment - no matter what genders are involved. If this bothers you, speak to HR and/or your manager and they will address it with your colleague.

Yes it could be considered sexual harassment. He is making unwanted advances toward you. Maybe you don't like to be touched and he is violating your personal space. Either way you should tell him to knock it off and if he continues report him. Nana

In this country, in today's age, you can say 'hi' to someone and get sued for sexual harassment.

I doubt it as his hands and other bits were in his pants at the time! If his hugs bother you, tell him to knock it off.

Just say you aren't comfortable with hugging. Some people think hugging everyone and anyone is spreading the love. You have every right to say no if you don't like it, whether the motive is sexual or not. If he persists anyway you can talk to someone higher up about it.

They can call anything sexual harassment that one of the people complains to HR about, sadly.I was reported for making small talk with a girl I was once friends with. I didn't say anything wrong, she just didn't want to be friends anymore and didn't want to tell me. So she told them I was comming up to her and making her unconfortable. They threatened to fire me.The whole sexual harassment thing has gone compleatly out of control.
