Lots of people get sick when they first start a job due to stress. dont' worry about it, just get back to work and do a good job.good luck.

Yes it does look bad, but not as bad as infecting your new co-workers.

Most people will understand. If you are worried, explain your situation to your doctor & get a note to verify your illness. When you return to work, re-assure your boss that you are healthy again. If asked for the letter, turn it in. If not, keep the letter for your own records.

If you have a doctors note I think you should be ok. But then again most jobs do frown upon calling out when you first start a job. Also, it does depend on your supervisor. Hopefully they will understand the situation. Just make sure you provide them with a doctor's note

I had the same problem. I started to work on a Tuesday and on Monday of the following week came in all congested. The staff saw me sick and I could barely talk, so they understood that it was best for me to go see a doctor and go home. I felt bad about it cause it was my first week, but ultimately health is way more important than what looks "bad." I lasted sick for a couple of weeks so the people I work with really saw for themselves how serious it was. Don't feel bad, like I said before, your health is more important.

You can make it right. They'll give you some time to prove you are really a good worker..
