Hello, I have a question. I was running for about 2 hours with new shoes. I had no problems at all. I ones stepped in a little whole with my right foot, but everything was okay. That was two days ago. On the next day I had pain in my left foot, especially on the left outside. Today I can't put any weight on the foot at all. It hurts on the bottom of the foot, but only when i walk. I don't see any bruises and the foot seems not a bit swollen. But the pain is so big when i step on it, that I almost lie the whole day in bed. What is your advice? Could it be that I just overused my foot, the wrong shoes? Thanks in Advance!wargasmI am 25, usually I don"t run that much, because i have trouble with breathing. This time I felt excellent, and i did not had any pain. The only way I can walk without that it hurts is on the toes. When I start walking it is not that much, but than it is getting more and more, and as soon as i sit nothing hurts anymore. It doesn"t hurt when I move the foot in a circle, or press with my hands on it, it only hurts when I put my pressure on it, but only on the whole foot, not when i put my whole weight on the left toes, that does not hurt. I have deceided to weight till monday and see how it is, because I am off work the whole weekend and want put any pressure on it, and than well if it is still not better than i go. I think it is just strange that nothing seems blue or swollen. But it may could be mild stress fracture, because it seems it hurts on a bone.

Go to a doctor! nobodt can really tell what is wrong, unless they see it, do an x-ray or even an MRI. You need to go to a doctor, not just ask one on the web.

I am not a doctor; but playing as many sports as I do I could give you a pretty good idea. If it's a Sharp like, throbbing pain that goes away when you take pressure off of your foot you might have some mild stress fractures. (How old are you, how often do you run, does it hurt more when you roll onto your toes in a walking motion?) The shoes could have been a contributing factor; but it sounds to me like stress fracture/s. Sort of like shin splints but on your foot. I'd say wrap it with some Ace bandages for a week or so...if it doesn't improve at all...I'd go get a few x-rays and your doctors opinion. But what do I know...lol...hope this helped. On a 1-10 scale of pain...if you are an 8 or above it might actually be broken and you should seek go get a formal exam...I dont know if you've ever broken a bone, but if you have an incredibly sharp pain that nearly makes you want to crawl into a ball...id say its broken.
