Actually, depending on what kind it can...yours shouldn't. Mine, thankfully does, haven't had a period in a year. I'm on Nueva Ring, it's so awesome.

Yes It Can Stop Ur Period.it Can Stop It For Good. I Was On Birth Control Pills And I Was Not Taking Them Right. I Stopped Taking The Ones That Make Ur Period Come On, And Took The Others Instead.haven't Had A Period Since.that's Been 3yrs Ago.now It's A Possibility That I Will Never Be Able To Have Kids.don't Make The Same Mistake.

Yes, birth control can stop your period. In fact, many women take the pill and only use the active hormone pills so that they can stop having periods for an extended time. When you are on hormonal birth control, you have a "period" when you take the sugar pills at the end of your pack of pills. This isn't a "real" period. It is simply bleeding brought on by the lack of hormone from your active birth control pills. If you have stopped bleeding altogether, talk to your doctor. It is possible to get pregnant on the pill. Or your pills may just be preventing you from having a period.
