Question about miscarriage..what are the

chances? If a woman had a miscarriage at 8 weeks (no heartbeat at check-up) and had a D&C, then had a normal pregnancy and delivered a healthy baby, what are the chances of the next pregnancy being another miscarriage?

none. most young women miscarriage their first pregnancy, and go on the have lots of baby's.

Probably a lower chance with the 2nd pregnancy if there is no known reason for the first miscarriage. I had 2 miscarriages back to back then had 2 healthy pregnancies within 2 years. Good luck!

Since there was a miscarraige in her history, each following pregnancy will be closley watched during the early months, with continuing checks of her HCG levels, but with any pregnancy, there is always a 40-50 % chance of miscarraige in the first trimester. If she delivered a healthy baby a second time, just pray for a second healthy baby! good luck!

um... most women do not miscarry their first baby...i think that person is a little young in the head that answered that... a miscarriage is a way of your body to get rid of something that isn`t right.. or something might of been wrong with the baby and her body rejected it....it`s like how your body fights infection....

As long as your healthy and taking good care of yourself and taking your vitamins you should be okay. Miscarriage is not always something you do sometimes it just happens. Worrying about one could make you have one. Pray and think positive it has worked for me. I almost had one at the first 3 months of my pregnancy and now I am a couple of weeks away from delivery. I don't know if he'll be okay but I have faith in God and my other three are just fine. Good Luck
